EBP based in North West London are a well established market leader in printer consumables who are fast developing innovative 3D Printers.

Experience of FDM and coding firmware for Arduino would be ideal.

If you would like to find out more about the opportunity available please contact me directly.

1. Do you want an Electro- or Mechanical- Engineer? You cannot have both and achieve good performance. Well established companies usually separate these roles...
2. "innovative" and "Arduino" seem to be two contradictory terms. Truly innovative 3D-printers are slowly moving away from Arduino-based platforms...
maybe you can elaborate on this...
Thanks!

I agree with the previous poster. Speaking as an experienced firmware engineer who has done a lot of work on the Duet 3D printer electronics, the Arduino core is more of a hindrance than a help unless you are doing only very basic stuff.

You can find engineers who are reasonably good at both firmware and electronic design, but don't add mechanical design into the mix. Either the firmware or the mechanical design (or both) will be second rate.

Send me a PM if you are interested in subcontracting the firmware. I'm based in Surrey.

Disclosure: I design Duet electronics and work on RepRapFirmware, [duet3d.com].

Agreed with above poster in regard to specialised skill sets, but you need the bridge to bring them all together to achieve the maximum potential from the sum of the individual elemental skill sets that go into the end result.
