Oh btw: I don't know if you have the option in phorum software, but maybe you can lift a user to a next level with let's say 25 posts or something.
before that he will not be allowed to post links.
that way most spam posts will render blank

That's easily the single most annoying antispam feature ever. What do you expect someone going all "omgz I made a new RepStrap I have to show everyone!" to think when they get the "bugger off" message trying to link to their blog/photos/etc. in the process?

Wha I hope there would be:
non clickable links to the project
and embedded Pictures in the post
The truth?
Something in between.
But you're right for those who don't register first it's annoying, but still:
I do like features like that,
especially if it's no links for 6 users, or spam for all

freds,
even though this forum isn't the most used forum in the web
it requires alot of manpower to review all new posts
(I've tried something similar elsewhere... what a disaster)
Just having the "first post of a user" reviewed is nice, but it requires multiple new Software additions....
And it's not worth it, since most spambots wont even register here but post as a guest (so each and every post will be their first
)
