Wiki?

It isn't quite a question about the forum, but it has been suggested to me that I put my recent tutorial article on soldering, for the utter novice, on the Builder's wiki. Where would be best, (possibly in the Electronics hints section?) and how do I go about doing this?

Added

to the end: this gives me some links/wikipages...

click the link. Cut/paste the tutorial.

Save.

Hopefully it's easy - now.

Thanks for starting me off. Now, how can I embed the photographs directly? I don't believe I have file uploading privileges, and I can't seem to get embedding code to embed. Any suggestions?

(And I see you've added an SMT page, too - are you hoping I'll write another tutorial by any chance? Or can it link to the hotplate reflow page already out there?)

smt - T for technology.

I had to look up embedding images - so to practice I fixed the images for you. That's the benefit of a wiki!

There's a link on the 'toolbox' on the left hand side to 'upload file'.

you have to add each image individually, but then you can use

[[Image:soldering1.jpg]]

to embed the image - and then you can add

[[Image:soldering1.jpg|left|thumb|250x125px|CAPTION]]

to place the image on the left: create a thumbnail (size 250x125 max) : and add a caption.

I added the SMT page 'cos I thought we probably needed one. Hopefully if we add the links, then between us (the community) someone might write one :-)
In the meantime, I'll link it to the hotplate reflow
