Making RepRap useful

Perhaps you've already seen it: instead of answering questions directly, I started to ask about the wiki(!) instructions people followed and where exactly they got stuck. This has several purposes:

- Encourage people to read the wiki before asking.

- Finding out how people/newbies read the wiki to get an idea on how it can be improved.

- Identifying where the wiki lacks instructions.

- Answering questions in the wiki instead of the forum, so the answer doesn't get lost a week later.

Hereby I encourage you to use a similar strategy. Newbies always lament about being clueless, so let's take this cluelessness to our advantage. Everybody can help, even those who never saw a 3D printer.

The best of it: in a not too distant future we'll have a readable wiki, all these newbie questions should simply disappear and those not being brave enough to ask will be happy, too.

Bonus points for those who answer universally, e.g. not specific to a particular printer model, but in a way which helps every printer owner. :-)

Cheers!
