Paste-Dispenser mit 'Zusatz-Optionen'

... hab' für die Messe FabCon in Erfurt ein paar "Dauerläufer" mit give-away-Potential ausprobiert - auf der Messe wird das Teil im Hintergrund laufen und durch das "Knattern" und "UV-Leuchten" vermutlich viele, viele Besucher auf den Stand locken

... so langsam verliere ich die Übersicht, wer welche Anlagen und Applikationen mit meiner eigentlich fürs Pastedispensen modifizierten Pronterface-Variante "gieCAPS" und dem ArduinoDue-Controller mit der Firmware "Marlin4Due" (auch leicht modifiziert) betreibt ...

Die letzten beiden Tage habe ich bei einem Kunden in Holland eine unserer 3Achs-Maschinen mit dem ArduinoDue-CNC-Controller und dem Programm gieCAPS fürs Puls-Schweißen von Batterien eingerichtet.

Die Software wurde eigentlich fürs 3D-Drucken entwickelt ... ich mache damit inzwischen (teilweise mit entsprechenden Modifikationen) aber auch:
- Paste-Dispensen
- UV-Härten
- Lotpaste-Dispensen für Leiterplattenfertigung
- Laser-Gravieren
- CNC-Positionierung von Galvoscanner-Lasermarkierern (die dann mit ihrer eigenen Software markieren)
- "mechanisches" Gravieren mit Frässpindeln und Diamantnadeln
- CNC-Positionierung für Mehrfach-Ultraschall-Bäder mit Trocknern
- Puls-Schweißen von Batterien und Akkus

... ein paar weitere Applikationen sind noch "Geheim" oder in der Vorverhandlung

... für die Messe FabCon3D übernächste Woche in Erfurt muß ich noch einen 3D-Druckkopf für eine eingehäuste "CNCpure" vorbereiten.

Daheim habe ich aber nur die CNCsimply, also habe ich die provisorisch zu einem 3D-Drucker umgebaut:




Der erste und zweite Druck mit einem neuen PETG-Filament und Pi-mal-Daumen geschätzten Einstellungen für Temperatur, Extrusionsmenge und Geschwindigkeit waren schonmal nicht so daneben:




Nächste Woche und auf der Messe schaue ich mal, wie ich das optimiert bekomme ...

Viktor, apologies for the English message, I do not speak German. I am wondering if you are able to easily explain how you are triggering the Vermes control box to dispense drops using pronterface, I have a similar Vermes dispenser that I am trying to pair with a cnc machine - if I had found your post earlier I might have just bought something complete instead of trying to do it myself! If it helps, my interest is for academic research purposes not commercial. (as I realise you are in the business of selling rather than giving your work away for free) any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Tom,

I'm simply using the step-pulses, meant for the extruder -- changed in the "Configuration.h" for the extruder the "pulses_per_mm" value to 1 and adjust the dispensed pulses per millimeter with the "E" value in the G-code.

E.g. - a horizontal, 40mm long line from 0,0 to 40,0 with 5 droplets per mm will look like:
"G0 X0 Y0 F6000"
"G1 X40 Y0 E200 F3000"

Sorry for the late reply, I did not realise you had responded. Thank you for the information! so have you just connected the extruder output on the XYZ stage electronics to the PLC input of the Vermes controller to provide a simple voltage to trigger? or is there some more complex hardware involved?

I've either level-shifted the 3.3V Extruder0-STEP pin of the Due to 5V and connected it to the 5V pulse input at the Vermes controller ... or, with our "comercial" BoB with 24V I/O's (using an ArduinoDue-shield to level-shift to 5V and connecting to the BoB ) - then connected it to the 24V pulse input ...
