Thought this group may find this news of interest.

The world’s first pressure controlled 3D printer (Elemental) is a modular 3D printer that solves three main problems with personal 3D printer technology: ease of use, expense and reliability.

The Kickstarter campaign launched last week and is about bringing Elemental from prototype to production. See how Elemental is changing 3D printing at Hardcotton Kickstarter campaign

This revolutionary 3D printer fills the gap between low-end hobbyist machines with limited resolution and high-end printers that cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Elemental's key points to note are:

• Simple design that is attractive and functional
• Multiple printing modes with resin only or resin suspension
• Quiet when printing and simple to use
• Minimal calibration required
• Patent pending technology
• Reduced dependency on support structures

System specification include:

• Very large build area for SLA - up to 200mm x 200mm x 200mm (7.87in x 7.87in x 7.87in)
• Z control accurate to 1 micron
• 24-bit XY control resolution (variable through software)
• Variable output 405nm laser
• Pressure control of layer height
• Stand-alone SD-card printing
• Bluetooth functionality

You can get more information on the printer at the kickstarter link.

Read the updates and comments. Looks like they felt it wasn't getting the attention it would need to reach their goal.
