7 filaments into 1 hot end, non-mixing.

[Edit:] Just to be clear, I have no connection with this project. I don't know any more about it that what's on KS. I've just posted here to share the information that it exists. If its a good idea, I hope lots of people back it. If it's not a good idea, I hope that gets explained so that people don't back it.

IsnĀ“t it dangerous to switch the extruder relais while the driver chip is powered?

I've seen on my two color printer, that long retractions (to change color) can tangle the filament on the spools.
IMHO there should be an active filament feed which rotates backwards to tighten the filament.

What I would really like to see is a multicolor print where several colors appear in one layer.
I wonder if simplify3D have found a way to slice it in a printable way.

Seems to me that if there is filament stuck in the hotend it's going to be (very) difficult to get it out. ?
