Fleks3d - flexible build plate to replace heated bed !

No discussion on this innovative flexible print plate that is said to make a heated bed needles ???

I have ordered plates for all my 3 printers.

And it is already the second time they are on kickstarter.
Anyone with experience from the first campaign ?

I don't really understand, how a flexible print plate can prevent abs to wrap.
But the campaign doesn't look like a scam to me.

And yes, with their latest update, they offer extra plates for every new backer who has been referred by me

So if you like the campaign too, name "Robo Durden" as the referrer, i could get up to 5 12" x 12" plates worth $28 each

Seems to be something like PrintBite and BuildTake.

Can you give us your opinion about it to compare easily ?

I backed this on kickstarter and can say I am absolutely thrilled with how well it works, first layer sticks extremely well I use 40 degrees on my heat bed and I have no concerns over parts coming loose.

I only print with PLA so can't comment on the ABS side of things.

It does not work at all for ABS (without heated bed)
Have put it under my microscope and got the feeling that this is just some sandblasted plastic: [www.youtube.com]

Like you can cheaply buy on ebay: [www.ebay.de] or buy locally.

In my other youtube video [www.youtube.com] , the creators seem to confirm it to be simply some sanded plastic but insist that it is not as bridle as plexiglas, which means "more flexible" ?

Just to avoid confusion - This is nothing like PrintBite, which in turn is nothing like Buildtak.
