Web interface - Connect Every time spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I've had huge problems connecting to the web interface but finally I have a solution that works perfectly:

  • Switch on your Ormerod
  • Load the web page
  • Wait for the reprap page to load, it will first load part of the interface then redirect to the password window
  • NB!!! Put the password in but DO NOT ENTER yet
  • Switch off your Ormerod, wait a few moments then switch it back on.
  • Once the Ormerond is back up and running for a few moments, then and only then press enter to submit your password

Of course this is not the way it should work but it's what we have and I've found the method above faultless so far.

Hope it helps you.

Makes sense, that bypasses the first page completely. Are you using the latest firmware, version 0.57a?

You might also like to try Matt's web interface at [github.com] which doesn't have a password page.

Thanks guys for pointing me to Matt's interface, it is sooooo much better!!

As for firmware I'm not sure what I have on, I've not updated for about 2 weeks now :-)

Send M115 via Pronterface and serial monitor and see what version it reports. 57a is latest and best.
