Hallo,

I build my first reprappro omerod. All other things look good, but by adjusting Z I can't down the heater-nozzle near to the bed, becurse the x-carriage touch the bed before (see attached picture). I don't understand that. Who can help me?

with regards

Solved! The filament-cable must spiral lower and so get the head down smiling smiley

There are several other things you can do as well, which you will find by reading through this forum. The main problem is that your X carriage is drooping (the fan is not vertical), and that can be adjusted by changing the bearing on the X carriage (at the back of the acrylic plate) to a slightly bigger one to twist the whole carriage more vertical, or put a spacer between the plate and bearing (a hacksaw blade works well). When you have the machine working, there is a modified X carriage to print that allows a bigger adjustment of the bearing.
