z probe problem

I have the standard z probe and its been working ok for me recently, but today i have changed my z gears to iamburnys gears turned on the printer and the Z probe is indicating from 1015 - 1020

This means i cannot home the X axis.

I have checked the plug on the probe circuit and it is pluged in, and i have checked the wire going into the top row of the duet and that is pluged in too.

any ideas?

EDIT - as i was writing this i thought i should check the 2 other wires from the z probe circuit, and yes, they had come unpluged!

all sorted

I was always knocking the 3 pin connector off the sensor board, so I hard wired it in the end. I made up a small PCB with connectors on that sits on top of the fan enclosure.

My replacement sensor board uses a connector with a locking tab to stop it falling off:

The 4-pin one is for the sensor loom, the 8-pin one os for the hot end loom.
