RRF configuration tool help - X and Y location homeall
November 18, 2017 02:27PM
I just upgraded to 1.19 from a previos version and noticed and cant get the x homing right. The sensor hovers just at the end of the bed instead on X55 as it should.
Is there a way of inputting the bed homing locations as i used to - this is all very different from what i was used to.

Thanks guys.

i initialy thought i broke my ir sensor so i bought an DC42's sensor as an upgrade - it hasnt arrived yet, but i am looking forward to it.
My old sensor wasnt broken - the sys code does not have my bed positioning - but i dont know exactly where to put it as all my modifications still result in the x axis still wanting to home outside the bed (X15) instead of X55 or something like that...

Please help.

On the Ormerod, during homing the proximity sensor triggers with the nozzle well off the bed. Measure how far off that is, then set the X parameter in the M208 S1 command to that negative X value. For example, if the sensor triggers when the nozzle is 19mm off the edge of the bed, use X-19 in the M208 S1 command.

Would this be another issue with the deploy and retract probe folders?
