I had decided to review the design on my Omerod z-runner-mount, the one with the two bearings running up and down along the z-channel.

The STL downloaded is not an exact replica of the one supplied with my kit.

Before I print this modified version could other kit owners with the new design confirm that it performs satisfactorily.

The new design has a feature to reduce the gap between the two bearings, while mine has 0.35mm gap that I cant close leading to x-axis wobble.

Hi

I have received a modified part from RRP but have not fitted it as my build seems to have no play. I imagine they have tested it and the print should work.

I've updated my machine (the 'model' for this picture: [www.reprappro.com] ), and I was able to remove the tape. X axis feels a bit firmer now. Though I should point out the axis is never really loaded in this direction (around the Z axis).
The adjustable version is what we are supplying with new kits. Also, it's easy to replace, and you should still have a M3x20mm countersunk screw and M3 nut to fit it.
