Slic3r Setting

Hi

New to 3D printing, does any one have any recommended setting for Slic3r.. I have tried to print a few items, but the printer starts OK and then retracts the filament and then continues to print.....

Has anyone got any working setting for Slic3r that they can recommend

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave

Have you installed our profiles? They are a good place to start. See: [www.reprappro.com]

Start with the RRP profiles that Ian referred to, then increase Printer Setttings -> Extruder 1 -> Retraction to about 4mm. If you are running the latest firmware with the temperature calibration corrected, then under the filament settings reduce the temperature to 195C.

Hi Ian

Thanks, I think I am now becoming snow blind from reading the docs

Haha! I'll try and put some pictures in in the coming days. It is rather a 'wall of text'! At least there's some navigation now, with the contents at the top.
