Slic3r failure to save configuration in Ubuntu 12.04
January 27, 2014 07:11AM
I am running Slic3R as standalone outside Pronterprint to isolate problems between the software.
I am using V1.0.1-dev on Ubuntu 12.04
A new installation runs ok, but if any changes are made to any parameter -say filament dia - then after closing the message-

slic3r.pl 5781 LIBDBUSMENU - GLIB - Warning **; Trying to remove a child that does not belive were its parent.

This is repeated 3 times.
When Slic3r is opened again the message -

Not a # reference at \home\xxx\Slic3r\lib\slic3r\GUI\SimpleTab.pm line74 and the program fails to load.

This can only be solved by re-installing Slic3r or finding the hidden directory .Slic3r and deleting simple.ini

What am I doing wrong???

Any help appreciated Dennis RS#343

I'm guessing you've done this: [github.com]
So it's probably best reporting the issue here: [github.com]
or here: [forums.reprap.org]
