large prints?

Once again i've got some money from working a few commissions. Seems like a wise decision to blow it all on another 3d printer! Right? I want to buy the ormerod but I'm uncertain about it. I can handle a challenge, but I havent seen many videos or pictures of the ormerod in action. The frame looks unstable to me especially next to my prusa i3. Anyone ever done any large prints that didnt suffer from wobbly axis or something? I'm going to sell my prusa i3 also if I'm convinced of the print quality. Im interested in 3d printers mostly for the challenge, I dont really require to print things in my daily life, I,just enjoy building them and printing yoda figures lol. Living in the US, will rs charge outrageous shipping prices to me?

This is the largest (highest) print I have tried, Z was about 150mm, X and Y about 75mm. It came out perfect
I've never had a problem with stability of the printer or wobbling of the head.

It might look /feel less robust than Prusa I3, I must admit. For print quality , I printed a new set of others printer parts , which is quite large for the base , and all layers are nicely aligned. I've gone through all problems shown in this forum and solved them though. you can check RS web page for more shipping detail. RS in my country will not charge any shipping cost even I order just a small resistor.

Tall print! Yeah I'm pretty convinced now. Can't wait to order it but I gotta finish up some commissions first.

I have printed very large parts (180mm diameter, no room to print a skirt around the part) up to 100mm tall. I have also printed taller parts (up to 200mm) with smaller footprints (approx. 100mm diameter).
In all cases I have never had any issues with layers. There is sometime a few blobs in places (depending on the filament quality I use) but you barely notice.
