Hmm,
There are issues here. The two y-axis end plates rely on the taper in the holes for the round rods to create a locking effect, this would not be possible in aluminium and would require screws to lock the rods in or clamps making. One -piece machined end blocks with all features and rod clamps machined in would work but very expensive for modestly cosmetic gains.
The two bed ribs, again, possible but very little gain.
The duet box, totally cosmetic, easily possible but worth it??

Looks lovely, nice work.
I'm glad that the parts are working out for most, I have some replacement ribs due in but the bank holiday is likely to cause a slight delay in getting them out.

It is a thing that was discussed before with my team, eliminate sensitive MDF and Acrylic parts so they don't become a point of failure
You know you can count us in with at least the last number of units we've ordered,

I'm still here, the bank holiday has really goofed things up, been stuck at work 
I have the replacement ribs for those few who have a warped one, I am just waiting on a suitable thread forming tap to arrive, should be today hopefully. Please bear with me a little longer.
For those wishing to order, I have a new batch on the way now and should be about a week until they are in, naturally these will be double checked before dispatch.

How about adding these to you alu-offers, they will make the ormerod transportable, the y-axis stable and the y-belt able to go "ping"
150 x 45 x 40mm angle alu, a few holes, a bit of milling for the belt and y-micro switch, nothing to it really

If I had a CNC mill I would definitely offer them but my machinery is all old-school
I could not make more than one pair as they would all be slightly different and very time consuming.
