That's a terrible thing, is an absolute crap, there is always something that does not work. Very expensive and stressful experience for € 700!

From my experience it sure takes hard work, a calm mind and a bit of help from the forum to get the machine working.
The first 2 you should be able to provide and for the third we are all here listening to you (it is remarkable but trust me, I have had solutions handed to me in this forum I that would not otherwise have come up with).
Take a picture (if relevant) and post it in this thread, i can not promise anything on behalf of others but I for one will keep an eye on it (and a chance to pay back the help i have received).

Did you have problems with the original build or while applying the mods ?
Are the pictures just for information or are there some questioning intended ?
The z-nut fixture looks great (I should get one of these also, even if I have no problems beside wear with the original)
The Z-gears i have modded like yours and that made a positive change.

Yes very well made indeed! - I just changed the treaded rod for a stainless one and as for the nut made a 9x18mm brass treaded bit and used the original nut as a guide for hand filing the flats (still using the original acrylic part to hold the nut and had to file the nut down 0.3mm on each flat as to slip in without cracking the acrylic part)
