First Print - was all worth it!

Thanks to all the help I got from posters here, I finally made my first print today.

My garage has no windows, and LED lighting, so the Z probe even seemed to work well.

No I am going to try to do the thicker duet case so I can get the back on.

Rob.

Getting there.. still looks like there's a bed compensation/1st layer height (possibly z-probe calibration) issue, but it's a great feeling having that first part done!
It gets more fun from here! smiling smiley

Hi Robby, the back should fit without having to make the case bigger. If you look in my thingyverse items you will find some small square pillars to screw the back on to the case.
You will find them HERE

If you can't put the housing on because you don't want to bend the ADC pin of the proximity sensor down (which I don't like doing either), is bend the crimp. I think the crimp is usually supplied in heatshrink, so this is easy, but if you have it in a housing, you'll have to remove it from the housing before bending, and I advise putting heatshrink on. It also has the added advantage of not pulling off the pin so easily.
