PTFE tube spark?

PTFE tube spark?

Something funny just now happened. PTFE tube to feed pla to the head just sparked.... only once but wonder why?

Static? The continual rubbing of filament against the PTFE tube is exactly the sort of thing that may build up charge.

My guess: he was running the filament through the extruder in the empty PTFE tube and the sparks flew just when the filament met the metal part of the hotend - it was love at first sight
