Y-Axis endstop indication reversed ?

Y-Axis endstop indication reversed ?
May 17, 2015 08:08AM
Hi All
Any Idea why the y-axis endstop is inveted ??
Endstops - X: not stopped, Y: at min stop, Z: not stopped
When it pushes against the limit switch it says NOT STOPPED but during normal operations it says AT MIN STOP
I can see the LED on the DUET light up when you manually push against it

Is there maybe a setting I`m missing somewhere ?
Tx Ben

I've just tested it in my fork, and it works OK - unless of course you invert the endstop signal sense using an M574 command. Which firmware are you using?

Hi Dave
I use the stock standard config file, never changed it...

FIRMWARE_NAME:RepRapFirmware FIRMWARE_VERSION:1.04e-dc42 ELECTRONICSgrinning smileyuet (+ Extension) DATE:2015-04-09
SD printing.

I see in the config file

M574 X0 Y1 Z0 S1 ; set endstop configuration (Y endstop only, at low end, active high)

I just realised, that means you are using the wrong connections on the endstop switch. Use the two outer tags on the switch, and leave the centre tag not connected. The LED should be on, except when the Y axis is at the end pushing against the switch.
