@dc42 Thanks for the info, have ordered all I need
Do you know where I could get the connector shell and pins for the Nema 17 stepper motor?

Thanks to dc42 and Treito for your replies all ordered now.
Bye the way what screened cable did you use?

Putting a different aerial (or changing the position) of the DAB radio may also be an easy solution if you are currently relying on a simple telescopic aerial. The most common DAB frequency in use in the UK is around 220MHz, and making a simple folded dipole for that frequency from 300ohm twinlead oriented so that its axis (null direction) is toward the printer might work.

What!!, Huh!!, great suggestion, if only I new what it meant.......
a simple folded dipole for around 220MHz frequency from 300ohm twinlead
I think this could be the answer but could you help more with exactly how to construct a simple folded dipole, tuned to 220MHz? and what is 300ohm twinlead
Thanks Dave

Paul Have a look at Folded Dipoles and as for the 300 ohm twin see 300 ohm twin feeder and maybe Indoor radio antenna

Many thanks. That explains all. At work we was also wondering what to write as we only want our customers to use screened/ shielded twisted pair cables especially for Ethernet. And how you can screen the Duet board? As I wrote above I am considering painting the case with aluminium spray (consisting of 99% aluminium) and adding copper tape at the inside.

But I also can use copper tape? I read about this in an article of how to replace an Amiga 500 power supply using a micro-ATX power supply. They used the original case and wanted you to use copper tape at the inside. Besides that I do not want to use the lid for my project so i planned the spray and the tape. That should do the job just fine. The Duet enlosure will not fit as I use other cables and I do not like that the enclosure cuts into the screening of the cable. At work we normally use a special rail or terminals. The authorities would not allow to use something like this.

IME while the interference originates from the board, most of the radiation is from power supply and other wires going to the board rather than from the board tracks, and so is carried out past the shielding. You can do some simple preliminary tests before spending time on shielding that may have little practical effect. Just temporarily wrap or hold some grounded aluminium cooking foil around various bits. The foil can be put inside a plastic bag to reduce the chance of accidentally shorting something out while checking. The wire from foil to ground should be as short as possible, and try various grounding points.Quote

I doubt that you need to screen the stepper motor cables. Most of the DAB interference is probably coming from the switching regulator (assuming you have it enabled) and the microcontroller clock and signals. You will need to start by screening the Duet itself.
