Bearing Sizes - Help please....

Hi all,

looking into some new projects, Ormerod related

I was hoping to ask if those out there with measuring tools could let me know the diameter of their LM12UU linear bearings please?

The documents I have all list it as 21mm but I have some measuring at 21.6mm which is way outside a machining tolerance i feel.

Are there different types or just not really LM12UU bearings after all???

Another RS Ormerod Mk1 meets the world

Retired now but I used to make....
CNC Machined Mk1 aluminium bed support plates for the Ormerod
CNC machined X-plates and ribs for Mk1 & Mk2 Ormerods
CNC machined bed support arms for the Mk2 Ormerod.
Dual Hot-End heatsink blocks.

Measured mine they are 21mm exactly atleast thats what my digital calliper says.

I've bought a few of the LM12UU bearings off ebay etc. and they all differ slightly depending on manufacturer I think. I always use 21mm overall diameter in my models and it seems to be about right. Measuring a spare bearing I had to hand it measures 20.8mm. Hope this is of some help.
