After few year going to prusa. Now I reviving my old Ormerod 1. But seems many update after I've left.


I've updated to firmware 1.21RC4 and now I cannot home as my X is crashing to the left. Is there anything changed on pin side?

Check out the RepRapFirmware Configuration Tool at [configurator.reprapfirmware.org]

Generate for your Ormerod 1, and you can also compare and contrast, there are changes from old firmwares to 1.20+
e.g. a quick configurator for the Ormerod 1 I see slightly different to your current config.

You need two M574 commands as cheeseandham says. Also you need to add parameter S2 to the G1 Z5 and G1 Z-5 commands in the homing files that move the head clear of the bed before homing and back again afterwards.

I think I forgot how to get my Z heights right. Too many changes and version on the forum now.

Hi a lot of links to reprap ormerod1 are invalid. Would be nice with a summary for those of us who upgrade after some absence.
I'd like to give a hand if someone can take the lead.
