Nice one, how its workin compering to normal smartrap version? smiling smiley

I have also wanted bigger print volume, but I have only changed the whole base, and supported the whole printer with rods. Now it's able to print 25x25x26cm grinning smiley
Im still callibrating it smiling smiley

Nice one, how you callibrated your printer that the corners of the print are not lifting?
Im also using the glue method that Serge has mentioned some time ago, but I must use the brim. Other way my corners are lifting :/

first layer is important. you need to adjust z offset to have the first layer squished on the glass a little bit ( to have a good grip on the glass)
i never had lifting on my print
maybe it is the wood brand
i use this one

Nice one Fabrice!

Verteez:

I think there are several things involved.

The type of glue.
The properties of the filament. Some PLA has more crimp then other
The room temperature (the colder the room the more the crimp)
The temperature of the plastic when it leaves the hot end, If you print to hot then there is also more crimp.

I have fillament that has a rated temperature of 195-200C

If i print @ 195C or lower then The PLA doesn't stick very good to the bed.
And from 200C and up the hotter i print the more the PLA crimps when it cools down, and the corners start to curl up.

Also, the larger the object the more tension the crimp causes on the edges.

You re right
I remember i add brim for the plate y and z ( large rectangular part)

Amount of heat in the part is also important
Same part in 0,3 can have corner lift up and in 0,1 not
But it will take 3 time more to print

Cool design. I'm going to try and implement it with 3/8" (9.53 mm) aluminum rod and printed bearings. I've found the rod really cheap at $10 per 8ft at Menards ( Store in midwest). I'm sure Home Depot, Lowes, etc. carry something similar. I'm going to try a lightweight direct drive extruder on the x-axis. I'll post results as soon as I get it setup. Have you tested entire build surface for XL print yet?

I like it.
The design looks very familiar ha..ha..
What have you added to the Z axis, the drawing is not clear on that area?

After looking at the edrawing, I can see that it should work fine.
Very nice design. You need a good hotend to go with that.
