Smoothing PLA with Chloroform

Hi,
New to this group so this maybe in the wrong place.

Has anyone tried smoothing PLA with chloroform and apart from the obvious gags do you think it may work? I was going to try later this week but wanted to guage the replies first?

I tried before, just pour over it few times will smooth it enough

I tried it in the past. I could not remember the outcome.... Woke up dazed and confused 3 days later......
