Reduce Bed Shake

I have been having problems with my bed shaking during printing. I have seen this problem come up on the Ultimaker forums and have heard of some solutions that seem to be effective but haven't seen many pictures.

1. Adding weight to the build platform
2. Making the z axis stage very rigid at the bearing block
3. Reducing accelerations
Comments on these are much appreciated.

I have tried to reduce my accelerations but with no avail. If anyone has beefed up their z axis bearing block and platform and has pictures of them, it would be great if you could post them. I'll probably redesign my bearing block to be stronger in the end but would love some tips on how to achieve the necessary strength.

Thanks
JTT

Well your bearings can be a bit loose too. I changed for polymer bearings, no play, very quiet. Try to find where most of the play come from. Added weight is good to absorb stuctural vibrations, any light machine have vibrations/stiffness issues. on a coreXY the Z axis can be more heavy with mostly no disadvantages.
