I was at the makerspace yesterday and discovered that after many months of planning and gathering parts, Tom Klein is actually building his CoreXY printer, with slightly big print capacity- 600mm x 600mm x 1.5m, I think. He intends to print life size statues of scanned people. I don't have any details about extruders or hot-ends.

... hmm ... 1.5m height is a bit "shorter" than life size for modern people confused smiley

Sure it is not more than 1.5m Z ? cause the printer looks like its at least 2m high, and most people are 160-190cm high

... you'll need some ten Centimeters for all the gear -- and, in case it's a delta, for the slanted arms too ...

What’s the plan for checking on the first few layers as a print starts? Camera array or step ladder?
