CoreXY build question

Hi all, new member today!

I have been in printing for 6 months with an Ender 3 and have been really happy with it.
I always wanted to make my own so with the myriad of parts available out there I just finished a coreXY machine, and had its first run yesterday. Apart from extruder running the wrong way it worked very well. Will tweak it over the weekend.

Anyway what I wanted to ask was my coreXY is almost twice as fast (timewise) with same settings in Cura than my ender. Both at 0.2 z increment and 60mm sec feedrate. This is really puzzling me, any thoughts or something obvious Ive missed?

Acceleration and jerk settings affect print speed as much or more than the speed setting does. If acceleration is low, the printer won't hit the set speed unless the print is big and average print speed will be low. Turning up acceleration and jerk increases average print speed.

Thanks I will look into that. Using marlin 2 so assumed all settings would be similar, just changed the corexy reference.
