reel sizes?

A quickie of a question..

Building my first machine and while waiting for a few finishing parts to be delivered i think i'll weld a stand for the plastics to roll from, so......

could someone please post the diameter and depth for the 1 - 5 kg reels

There not standard in anyway, I have 2 different size reals form 2 different suppliers.
If you're trying to build a real holder, i'd build one that has adjustable width, and isn't overly diameter sensitive.

Im using square tubing of 2 sizes. Lucky for me one slides snuggly into the other. weld a nut to the external tube and pinch the inner tube with a bolt.

My sketch will easily hold a 30 cm diameter reel. I think i'll extend your idea and cut addition adjustable legs should a need to increase height.
