Prusa mendel electronics

I have been building the prusa mendel. I have pronterface with ramps and marlin. I flashed marlin to the board, and pronterface talks and says the printer is active and ready, but the motors don't move. I have tried installing sprinter, but pronterface wont talk with sprinter. I am at a complete loss of what to further except perhaps buy different electronics . Can anybody give me some advice on what to do?

i'm using sprinter with pronterface .and they communicate well.how did you download the firmware?directly through the board or by programmer.if you did it directly then there is no problem with your board(since they are communicating..).you can check the communication between the sprinter firmware and pc by gcode commands(search gcode and reprap together in google) and a serial communication software like hyperterminal.
