Z axis is homed until starts the print.

Hello, First off wanna say thanks for the information in these forums they have been very useful.

I level my bed.
I set the z axis opto level looks great until print starts.
The z axis moves up after the print starts.. i can pause print hit z home and it will go down to were needs to be, until i hit resume then it moves back up half a mm and resumes the print.
I am constantly adjusting my z opto switch so that it crashed into glass when homed.
Then moves up to were it needs to be when job starts.

I found a link to a command that let me set the zero on the z axis in pronterface. cant find same post again to try and reverse what i did.

using slic3r 0.9.10 and newest version of pronterface.

thanks

The print starts at your first layer height setting plus any Z offset that you may have defined in Slic3r (it's in the "printer settings" under "general"). It should not start the print at the "home" position.
