I have a question regarding the belts being used in the Darwin design. I have been at a local model shop where they sell parts for remote controlled toys. They have a belt that normally is used for RC helicopters to drive the tail rotor, which has a different pitch (approx. 5-6mm) then the belt listed in the BOM. They also have matching (plastic) pulleys. Both are reasonably priced (4 euro's/belt, 3 for the pulley).
I *think* this shouldn't make any difference, but would like to make sure, before getting 4 of them and find out later it does. I have ordered (and expect to arrive today) the stepper motors as listed in the BOM (ST5709M1208 from Nanotec) which will be used.
