Heat pad with build in controller, will it work?

Hi,

I ordered a nice 400W heat pad from aliexpress and I mentioned I wanted max 150C and build in thermistor. What I now got is a pad that has a build in thermostat that is completely encased in the pad with no wires coming out of there, that probably internally regulates the temp to a constant 150C.

From my limited electronics understanding that shouldn't be to big of a problem because I can still slap my own thermistor on the surface and control the whole thing via a SSR. The build in thermostat will just act as an additional max temp shut of but should interfere with my intended operations right?

Cheers

Assuming it uses a standard mechanical thermostatic switch, there should be no problem running it via a SSR.
