First print went ok, now need help
January 16, 2013 03:51AM
Hi Guys

I have my prusa i2 built and have done my first prints which have come out really well (see attached) if i do say so my self.

Problem I have is that they are short, about half the hight they should be, can any one point me in the right direction to resolve this? My z axis is calibrated and moves exactly as far as it is told to.

Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Perhaps the g code is trying to move the z axis too fast and it is missing some steps?

Unfortunatly im certain that is not the problem. The max speed on my z axis is only 1.25mm/s at the moment.

Ok it seems im a bit of a muppet. I was thinking the 20mm calibration box was a cube, but it isnt. So my print is the correct size. Im a bit more impressed with my first print now. smiling smiley

sorry for wasting anyones time
