Hi everyone,

I stumbled upon RepRap when i was looking for a 3D printing company to print a design that i modeled for a student. After reading some of the information on the website I've decided to have a go building my own Prusa Mendal with wade's extruder. I am looking to source all the components for the build myself to keep cost down.

So far i have bought:

Screwed Rod
Smooth Rod
All nuts & bolts from the BOM

My next step is to buy a parts kit, can anyone advise me wheres the best place to buy, i have seen some kits on eBay but most of them are in the USA and the postage is expensive as i live in the UK.

If any one has any tips regarding my build, best places to buy components ect. i would be very grateful.

Kind Regards
Adam

I have recently built a prusa Mendel, and tried to source as much as I could myself, and listed everything I bought at [ihavetobuilda3dprinter.wordpress.com]

My plastic parts weren't actually printed, which I slightly regret, though the whole build has been more than enough of a challenge to make up for it.

There are several UK sites that sell parts, kits and completed units. Check out [www.reprap.org].
