Repetier-Host Mac 0.53 Help

Repetier-Host Mac 0.53 is what I downloaded. Can someone help me. I plugged in the printer and the printer starts moving the x axis back and forth and the y back and forth and z up and down. I hit connect in repetier and and the printer stops moving for a moment, then it keeps doing the above. I also can hit the emergency stop in repetier and stops but then continues. Can someone please help.

I would guess that you have some sort of test firmware loaded on the electronics.
All connecting with repetier is doin g is resetting the board.
You need to configure then load either Marlin or Repetier firmware (not host) onto the electronics.

And would you be kind enough to elaborate a little on getting the Repetier firmware onto the the board itself. I think thats what the issue is.

Why don't you start with what electronics you are running, and how familiar you are with configuring firmware.
Did you self source or buy a kit, some kit vendors have configured firmware and it would make your life a lot easier.

Im trying to upload the repetier.pde into arduino and have already changed the baud rate and board type.
I compile the sketch in Arduino 1.0.1 and it looks good. I try and upload and it gives me this

any clue as to what this is all about?

You need to say what kind of board you are running. In RAMPS 1.4, for instance, you can upload the firmware with no changes to the board. Printrboard requires that you fiddle with a jumper to enable a firmware upload. Those are the only two electronics packages I'm familiar with but other styles may require similar changes to accept uploads.

I am getting the same damn message. It has something to do with Arduino software. (Im not using a Mac)
