Azteeg X1 & Mendel

I am building a new machine and I am using an azteeg x1 and mendel firmware. I haven't installed the hot end yet and that is probably my problem

Running Pronterface and pushing reset I immediately get...

"extruder is off, min temperature is triggered
Error printer haulted kill() is called"

I get a "thunk" when I push reset but nothing will move.

I commented out the line...

" # define prevent_dangerous_extrude"

but it did not help.

what do I need to do to run the printer without a hotend hooked up?

Set your MINTEMP value to below zero.

I went to config h and changed ....

#define EXTRUDE_MINTEMP 170

I changed the 170 to -1 and I still have the same problem?

I tried setting TEMP_SENSOR = 0 (not used) and that fixed this problem.
