Need help with y axis bushings

Hello everyone,

I'm a beginner who is trying to somehow understand how to build the reprap, from multiple instructions grinning smiley

Anyway, I got to the point where I assemb;ed the y smooth rods, and screwed the bushing to the mdf base. So far so good fits perfectly. But what I noticed every instruction I view has a different bushing. Mine is like in the official parts list: [reprap.org] . The guys in instruction have slightly different ones, where they actually clip them on the bearing. The ones I have just fits them easily, no clipping. I can then just easily lift my mdf base off from bearings

The question I have is, should I glue those bushing to the bearings, since they don't clip? If so will hot glue gun do, or I have to get something else.

Kind regards
Raivis

That small hole next to the screw hole is for a zip tie. You put a small zip tie through there and then tighten it down arround the holder and the bearing.
