motors stalling
July 13, 2013 11:30PM
hello reprap forums i connected all of my electronics and am using pronter face to test the motion of the axes on the prusa i2 i built. However all of the motors are stalling except for y axis in only one direction. I am using ramps 1.4 and 5 nema 17 motors. I only have the 12v 5 amps power connected and am wondering if it does not have enough power or is it a friction problem.

thanks,

saldurable

edit: if it helps i am using a 600 watt pc power supply
edit: never mind i thing i got it

I'm guessing he figured out to home the axis' first.

Im guessing either it was an issue with not or incorrectly positioning pots on the ramps board. It could also be your power supply. Why would you only connect a 12v 5 amp line on your psu if it is a 600 watt one you should have a 12v line with like 50 amps Available. Then again he could have missed aligned rods.
