Sketch-up 7 to STL files

is anyone using Sketch-up 7 (FREE VERSION) with success in transfer of files to STL format? Ready to purchase Rep-Rap kit and have a little experience with Sketch-up and would like to continue using it.

My understanding is you need a plugin a google search turns up loads some free some not!

There is a ruby scrip that will export sketchup files to .stl/ Google su2stl.rb and you should find it.

There's a free addon to export the object to stl, can't remember where I found it.

Do an export to a DAE file from sketchup, open it in Blender, export it to STL.
