What is my next step?

Hello.

I have just buildt my machine, installed Pronterface and I have confirmed that everything is working, steppers, heatbed, extruder and hotend.

My question is quite simple, what do I do now?
I would expect that I have to do some adjustments and calibrations. How? What are my tools?

I Installed Arduino and sanguino, but Im a bit stuck. Couldnt download all files correctly and thats why I didnt finish ( I got some htm files).

Any help will be appreciated!

I'm don't know what your stuck at, but after your printer is working, goto the calibration wiki and download the calibrations stl's and go from there.

Hmm, by saying everything is working, what I really ment is that everything is moving :/

BUT...I found a page about comissioning.

Now I have to measure to set current limits on my pololus/stepper drivers...

Trying to measure some voltage between the pot(or Vref) and ground while the motors is running. I cant get any readings... why?

I just did my first dry print (no filament). Wrote down a couple of things I´ll have to fix.

But, there is one thing Im wondering about. I cant read my SD card when its installed in the printer... "echoD init fail". And then I get an empty list...

Anyone know what this might be? I have formatted the SD card (FAT), but still the same; echoD init fail...

Btw, this is my kit:

Now Im struggling about hotbed and heat, getting the ABS to stick to the bed. I almost made it work, but on layer 2 everything came loose. I found out that I`ll have to order some kapton tape, the PET tape which was included in the kit is not good enough for abs...

Is this correct?

1: Glass
2: ca 2mm aluminium plate
3: heat plate/element

I think this is a little weird, the aluminium plate will bend and the heat will not conduct to the glass in the middle. My supports are in the corners. I have some clips, but they do not help much...

I am not sure what is going wrong with your printer and I would like to help.

We have been successfully printing 100+ kilos of ABS with the MendelMax 1.5+ exactly like your kit using ABS Juice on PET tape.
