X axis endstop to high on prusa i3??

Hello everyone, im having a variety of issues with my prusa i3, the current problem is that im using the x end with the built in endstop holder and the makerbot style endstop attached to it, the issue is that the switch is quite high and when the x carriage homes its not tall enough to hit the endstop, as anyone else come across this issue?

Use openscad to design an adaptor that let's you attach that endstop where you need it - that's the reprap way. Don't like something about your printer - print a new part.

You can easily fool the printer into thinking the end stop is reached by manually closing it during homing. This will at least allow you to print some simple objects because the end stop is only referenced when homing.

Alternatively, you can jury-rig the end stop into proper position using tape, wire, glue, whatever, until you can print a redesigned part.
