Hi,

So I'm nearing completion of my new Reprap, it's a custom design but I'm pleased with progress,

Frame is 20x20 Extrusion with infill panels of either Dibond or Clear Acrylic, Running Ramps 1.4

I've had XYZ & all my end stops running off a 1A wall plug to test them and now need to progress to putting in a proper power supply,

I have a 24V 25A unit for my heated bed, then a 24-12V 10A step down converter to run nozzles and all the other electronics on,

I'm aware i need to up rate the 16v 11A PTC fuse to a wire link

My question is, while i intend on connecting my earth in my kettle to the 24V supply, should i be earthing the rest of the unit, ill bolt the PSU and earthed case to the bottom dibond plate, but i presume this won't work as the coating on the dibond will insulate, and the same will hold true on the rest of the frame,

Thoughts please!

I would say do it if you can. It cant hurt and better safe than laying on the floor thinking I should have earthed that.
