Implement Blender in Pronterface

Hello,

I'm new to this Forum (and not a native speaker), so I apologize for the mistakes I might do.

I'm working on the software for an original Mendel, and I've been told to find a solution to visualise the path of the head before the printing step, to see if there is a risk of collision. The idea is too warn if the trajectory is dangerous and should be revised.

Blender seems to be the most fitted tool for that. Do you agree with that choice ? Do you have a way to implement Blender in the Pronterface interface ? I haven't found a topic about that point (but I'm not good for searching, so I hope it's not a too frequently asked question).

Feel free to ask for more detail if my question is too brief.

Thanks for your help,

Silvos

I don't mean to sidetrack but why doesn't slicer have more options while printing? Such as one part failed but you don't want to cancel the entire print because other parts are fine. Why is this not an option??

Silvos, I believe that the print software should already take care of that. You want a home position and end stops, the software should not allow a condition where the nozzle dips below the current layer. So, once your printer is properly set up, there should be no problem. If you are writing software from scratch, keep in mind that the arduino has limits to the software it can handle. If you could explain what you are doing to the software, eg, starting from scratch, modifying to fit your machine etc, it would be helpful in providing some ideas....
