i need help sad smiley

i am building my 1st Mendel printer
and iam stuck in aluminum block
coz i want to install heater resistor ( 2R7)
but it does not fit
i try to drill the by 5 mm
but most of the resistor fit except a little part still not fit
coz the shape of the resistor (2R7) in not 100% cylindrical
and i doesnt have another resistor
coz i live in some where out of city
and i should summit the hole mendel printer day after tomorrow



can any body give me video or advice how to deal with these problem

You should post a picture so those who can help you have a better idea of what you are up against.

Some wire wound resistor heaters will short out if the outer coating is scratched off.

What mfg and part number, web link, heater do you have.

Not seeing what you have typically a 5.5 mm hole is required.

You should measure the O.D. of the resistor to determine what size hole you should drill.

Drill a bigger hole. You can fill the excess space with wraps of aluminum foil. See [hydraraptor.blogspot.com]
