I am a noob to reprap and due financial problems (IE i'm in college) I am forced to use salvage electronics from old printers and was hoping that someone could help me with that
so far i have an old HP laser printer and am in the process of getting more

It really depends on what you want to build. Since you are scavenging parts you might look into repstraps. I think a couple of them are built from multiple paper printers. I've also seen homebrew hot ends as well.

I like how it looks like it uses drawer slides for the axises.
