Ive got a newly built prusa mendel with ramps 1.4 and all I got hooked up is one stepper just to see if I can get it to work but all it does is grunt when I try to move it with the software do the end stops need hooked up to get it to move.My software is repitier with repitier firmware ive tried pronterface and sprinter and it does the same thing
Did you adjust the voltage on the motor drivers? If it just started to work, or possibly started working after resetting the RAMPs board, I had a similar issue because the motor wires I terminated myself sucked.
