hello
I'm new here so im sorry if there is already a topic about this
I just finished my first 3d printer
it is a prusa i2
everything works fine except my hot end
when i start pronterface and push connect
my hotend starts to heat up and I can't stop or control it
my thermistor reads the temp but does not stop it
everything is properly wired certainly the hot end its only 2 wires for power in d10
and the thermistor in t0
this is the setup that i use:
[reprapworld.com]

i hope you guys can help me thanks in advance

So, if you don't connect via Pronterface the heater stays off?. If so, I would have to suspect the firmware - something is telling the Arduino to fire the Mosfet.

I've just checked
and it has nothing to do with pronterface im sorry wrong info
from the moment I have the powersuply on the hotend starts to head
so i dont need to connect to mij computer if i plug in the powersuply the hotend heats op
does this mean that the mosfet is broken

As I said previously, it could be your firmware causing it. Other than that, I would dismount the Ramps from the Arduino. Then, plug the power to the 5A terminal. If it still heats up then either the mosfet is permanently grounding (faulty) or there is a short in the solder tracks somewhere.
