Extruder stepper motor too slow

HI I have a prusa i3 and i have printed a couple objects that turned out ok. So i decided to calibrate the machine better. Once i was done with this calibration my extruder stepper motor would output the correct amount of filament but now it does it extremely slowly. Ive checked to make sure the motor isnt fryed which its not, it IS getting the correct voltages, not to much or to little, and nothing is rubbing against it! Im stuck. Any other ideas? btw im using Marlin firmware Thanks in Advance!smiling smiley

shoot nevermind my feedrate was really low in printerface im sorry but this may help somebody else in the future!!

Clean your extruder tip. I use a welding tip cleaner. The smallest wire works with a .4mm tip, and the second one works with a .5mm tip.

You should be able to pick one up at Lowes or your local home center, or harbor freight.

Is it a direct drive extruder ? Can you describe your calibration procedure ? How are set your microstepping settings ?
